More than 800 Morningside College students, faculty, and staff will leave the classroom to go “Into the Streets” for a morning of community service on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Jeremy Schnieder, assistant professor of writing and rhetoric at Morningside College, recently presented the paper “Running Over the Same Old Ground: Automated Essay Scoring” at the International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Morningside College’s 2014 Waitt Lecture will feature Paul Zak, a scientist, author and the country’s leading pioneer in the field of neuroeconomics. The lecture at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., is free and open to the public.
