Morningside College has reported the largest total enrollment in the school’s 119-year history with 2,542 full- and part-time students enrolled for the fall 2013 semester.
Total enrollment for the fall includes 1,263 full-time students and 1,279 part-time students. Part-time enrollment includes 1,237 students who are enrolled in Morningside’s graduate studies program in teaching. The college enrolled an undergraduate freshman class of 357 students for the fall 2013 semester.
According to Morningside College President John Reynders, this fall’s total enrollment surpasses the previous enrollment record of 2,224 full- and part-time students in the fall of 2012.
“Achieving this new enrollment milestone at Morningside comes after receiving more than 3,500 freshman applications for the fall semester, the largest number of applications Morningside has ever received,” Reynders said.
