Cindy McClary, a registered dietitian with the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, will discuss nutrition and weight control during a program at Morningside College on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 11:45 a.m. in the Yockey Family Community Room of the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave.
The public is invited to the free event, which is sponsored by the college’s Academic and Cultural Arts Series (ACAS), Morningside Personal Counseling, Morningside Resident Education and Morningside Student Health.
“We are having Cindy come to discuss nutrition, portion control and how to make sound food choices,” said Brenda Crawford, personal counselor at Morningside. “She’ll also be discussing ways to avoid weight gain, particularly for freshmen. It will allow people to speak directly with and expert about how to make small changes to improve one’s physical health.”
