Fans of the “Twilight” novels by Stephenie Meyer will have an opportunity to share their responses to the series during a “Twilight Celebration” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, in the Roadman Hall Formal Lounge, 3600 Peters Avenue, on the Morningside College campus.
The event, which is part of the Friday is Writing Day series at Morningside, is a celebration of the upcoming release of the movie based on the first book in the “Twilight” series, according to Dr. Marty Knepper, professor of English at Morningside.
The four books in the “Twilight” saga follow the story of teenager Isabella Swan, who falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. The novels, popular with young female adults, have sold over 8.5 million copies in the U.S. and have been translated into over 20 different languages around the world.
