New York-based harpsichordist Bethany Cencer will perform at Morningside College at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Cencer will perform on two different types of harpsichords for the concert, a French double harpsichord and an Italian virginal. Cencer will speak with the audience about the music she is performing as well as about the instruments themselves. Her program will include Francois Couperin’s “26th Ordre in F sharp minor,” selections from Rameau’s 1724 “Pieces de Clavecin” and J.S. Bach’s “Partita No. 6 in E minor.”
