Admission Requirements

Take the next step in your nursing career today

At Morningside's Nylen School of Nursing, we expect a lot from our students, but the outcome is worth it. We look for qualified candidates who can contribute to our graduate programs. Learn more about our admission requirements below, or contact Dr. Jackie Barber to see if you qualify.

Our admissions process

The Graduate Nursing Faculty Council reviews all applications and determines acceptance. You need to submit all required admission items (see below) for consideration. Then, we will notify you in writing about your admission status.

We base course enrollment on your acceptance into the program and space availability. Once you're accepted, you will have to meet a few additional requirements.

In some circumstances, we admit students into a program under a conditional acceptance agreement.

Out-of-state applicants

Each state requires colleges to secure state approval to offer online courses to residents outside of their state. If you live in a state outside of Iowa, Nebraska or South Dakota, please contact Dr. Jackie Barber to determine state approval.
