Tri-State High School Honor Choir Festival
The Tri-State High School Honor Choir Festival is designed to provide an advanced choral performance experience for high school musicians. Students in the select 55-member choir perform under the direction of Dr. Ryan Person, develop advanced vocal and choral techniques, and enhance appreciation for the choral art.
The application process requires the submission of a brief student choral music resumé containing past choral music participation and musical achievements. Directors will also submit a brief student assessment/recommendation for each student applicant. Open to students in grades 10-12, the submission deadline is Monday, January 6, 2020 and festival results will be distributed by Friday, January 10. After student selections have been announced, a $20 per student entry will be collected to cover on-campus lunch and dinner. As part of the festival, students will also be required to purchase their music and prepare pitches and rhythms prior to the performance.
The honor choir performance will feature performances by the Festival Choir and Morningside Choir on February 17th, at 7:00 p.m. Family, friends, and directors are strongly encouraged to attend.
