Choose your track

The social and behavioral science program at Morningside College allows students to focus on their career goals by offering two educational tracks, the social services track as well as the law and society track.

Social Services Track

Students pursuing the social services track will be prepared for careers in areas such as mental health, human services, substance abuse, development and housing, humanitarian relief and more. Internships opportunities may include: Department of Human Services, Crittention Center, Jackson Recovery Center, YMCA, Council on Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence, Siouxland Community Health, Mid-Step Services, Girls Inc. and others.

Law and Society Track

Students pursuing the law and society track will be prepared for careers in the criminal justice and court systems, legal aid and consulting, investigation and more. Internship opportunities may include: the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Woodbury County Law Enforcement Center and Jail, Sioux City Police Department, Iowa Department of Corrections and others.
