Prepare for Work in Social Services or Criminal Justice
The social and behavioral science program at Morningside College is an interdisciplinary major tailored to the career goals of students who intend to pursue careers in either social service organizations or the criminal justice system. The plan of study is designed to give students a broad foundation in the social sciences through integration of psychology and sociology disciplines. From there, students can choose between two majors to better fit their intended career goals. Students pursuing the social services major will be prepared for careers in areas such as mental health, human services, social work and more. Those pursuing the law and society major will be prepared for careers in the criminal justice and court systems, legal aid and consulting, investigation and more.
