Morningside College’s psychology program offers four distinct areas of emphasis for majors.

  • General Psychology is the best choice if you want to sample different areas of the discipline. Graduates are prepared for either work or graduate school.
  • Counseling psychology is designed if you are interested in counseling, clinical or school psychology. Graduates are prepared to pursue graduate study so they can qualify for professional licensing in the human services fields.
  • Developmental psychology is designed for those interested in studying developmental issues across the lifespan. Graduates are prepared for graduate school or work related to children, families and aging adults.
  • Biopsychology is a cross-disciplinary investigation of the neurological foundations of behavior and mental processes in humans and animals.
