You want to play and sing

Studying music at Morningside lets you unleash your talents and creativity—both vocally and instrumentally. We offer the only program in the region that is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Talented faculty, who are all practicing musicians and vocalists, guide and encourage your development as a performer.

You have opportunities to join a wide range of vocal and instrumental ensembles that often embark on regional, national and international tours. You can play in the Marching Mustangs, join our choirs and instrumental ensembles, participate in our annual production of Christmas at Morningside, The Mornigside Jazz Festival, a three-day event full of the best jazz programs in the region.

Be a part of our newly formed All-State preparation camps in the summer and early fall, and be a part of the Tri-State Honor Choir, featuring the region's best vocalists in an incredible event with Director of Choral Activites, Dr. Ryan Person and The Morningside Choir. These events are all part of our performance series and take place in the beautiful Eppley Auditorium, the 1300 seat crown jewel of our School of Visual and Performing Arts. The MacCollin Classroom and Klinger-Neal Theatre buildings afford our students modern studios, classroom, rehearsal and performance spaces.
