As an accounting major at Morningside College, you will learn the “language” of business and develop skills to create, analyze and interpret financial information. The U.S. Department of Labor projects jobs for accountants will grow 11 percent over the next decade, faster than the average for all occupations.
Morningside’s business administration program has developed new accounting majors that offer students two academic tracks. As a result, you have a variety of options for pursuing a career as a public accountant, management accountant, auditor, fraud investigator, budget analyst, tax accountant, to name just a few. Guiding you are professors who have all worked as business professionals and teach from personal experience. Morningside’s location in a regional retail, business and healthcare hub also provides you opportunities to develop and apply your skills in real-world situations through internships, immersive externships, consulting work and networking.
