Financial Aid for Study Abroad

Financial aid is available to students who have been approved for a study abroad program. Financial aid will be based on the charges assessed by Morningside College (tuition, fees, room and meals as applicable). Additional assistance may be available to cover cost above the scholarship offered through the Provost's Office. Typically, the additional assistance would be in the form of a Federal Parent PLUS Loan and/or a Private Student Loan (typically requiring a co-signer).

Below are a few scholarship opportunities that Morningside College students are eligible to receive.

  • Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship: The U.S. Department of State's Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. The Institute of International Education has aministered the program since its inception in 2001.
  • Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) Scholarships and Grants: CIEE has made it a mission to help every student who wants to study abroad to have access to the life-changing experience. Toward this end, CIEE offers a range of college study abroad scholarships and grants for students.
  • Additional scholarship opportunities are available through Morningside College based off of your acceptance for Study Abroad.
