Rosenbaum earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Briar Cliff University. She has held the Certified Public Accountant designation since 1983. Rosenbaum joined Morningside College in 2003. Prior to her teaching experience, she has 20 years of experience in both public and private accounting and business, including extensive experience in regulatory reporting and corporate mergers. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.
