Assistant Director of Admissions
Hometown: Sioux City, Iowa
Education: Bachelor of Science in business administration, University of Nebraska – Lincoln, 2012
Recruitment area: I recruit students in northern Iowa, above Highway 20. I also recruit the states of Connecticut, Washington D.C., Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia
What I like about my job: My favorite part of working here is watching the students I recruited succeed at Morningside and after graduation. It's so exciting to talk about what they plan to be involved in at college, and seeing them actually live that out makes me so proud. I'll never forget the feeling of hugging the first student I recruited, Kayla, as she was about to graduate from Mside. Those moments make this job incredibly rewarding.
What I look for in a student: I love when I meet a student that is "all in" on their college search. Seeing them take the time to research schools, majors, etc. makes me confident that if they attend Morningside, they've done their homework and are ready to succeed here. I am glad when students invest in the process and am thrilled to be a huge resource for them throughout.
Hobbies: In the summer if I'm not at the office, you're guaranteed to find me on a golf course. In the winter if I'm not at the office, you're guaranteed to find me at home doing a puzzle, likely watching a documentary. I also enjoy reading (preferably at a local coffee shop like Hardline or Stone Bru), listening to podcasts, and running. I am a Red Member at Chick Fil A, so you could say I enjoy eating, too. I'm also blessed with an amazing nephew and three nieces: Caleb, Lyla, Elsie, and Ruthie.
