Assistant professor of art
Rich Yates worked as a professional web and graphic designer for over 10 years before earning a MFA degree in graphic design from the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. He earned the BFA from Emporia State University.
His design interests include interaction between people and a computer and interaction between people facilitated by a computer. His research interests involve studying creativity in groups.
Yates teaches courses in design, web design, interactive design, game design, digital illustration and animation, as well as first year seminar and senior art seminar.
