Christopher Spicer

Associate Professor

Office: SC 143

Assistant professor of mathematical sciences

Chris Spicer has been a Morningside faculty member since 2009. His mathematical interests lie in the fields of algebra, graph theory, and combinatorics, but he is really interested in any math that can be found in popular culture. To that end, he has published papers written with students on topics ranging from the mathematical game of Cops and Robbers, to poker, and even the TV show The Big Bang Theory. In addition, he occasionally consults for the Institute for Defense Analysis, a federally funded research and development center over summers.
