| Woodbury County, Iowa, a governmental unit as prescribed by the Iowa Code, will accept applications in Room 701 of the Woodbury County Court House, 620 Douglas Street, Sioux City, Iowa for the following position:
(Approximately 24 hours/week)
ENTRY SALARY: $19.20/hr. (Plus Partial Benefits)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for conducting assessments for determining nutritional risk in clinics or other settings for participation in WIC Program. Provides basic health and nutrition education in the area of infant, child and maternal health. Provides referrals for health care and program outreach. Attends state-sponsored and other related meetings. Reports directly to Nutrition Division Manager.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a license as a Registered Nurse as issued by the State of Iowa; graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a registered nurse including public health/community health courses. BSN Degree or higher preferred with a minimum of one year experience in maternal/child nursing encouraged. Computer abilities required. Must have transportation and physical ability to transport supplies as needed with ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be a resident of Iowa or willing to relocate. Bilingual skills will be considered beneficial. Must be able to communicate tactfully and work effectively with a diversity of individuals. A copy of current RN license, a completed County application form and a resume are required.
