Job Description

The basic purpose of this position is to:
- develop, deliver and continuously improve a world class competency-based career-self-management program for all students of the College of Engineering;
- develop and coordinate delivery of competency-based assessment tools that support curriculum development, advising and program accreditation while preparing students for entering (resume preparation/interviewing) and managing their professional careers in the global practice of engineering;
- provide overall supervision and management of two engineering career fairs annually, including coaching, mentoring and supervising student support teams;
- contribute to policy and procedure development for the delivery of career services to students and to strategic planning of career service programming to students, alumni and employers.

All staff members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethics.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience or a masters degree and one year. Experience must demonstrate
ability to establish working relationships with employers of engineers, engineering faculty, staff, administrators and students. The education and experience must also provide a working knowledge of competency-based assessment tools used by employers for recruitment, selection, retention and career self-management.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with network-based PC, the Internet and Symplicity. Experience managing large events, such as career fairs.

Salary

Minimum $40,906; commensurate with qualifications
