SALARY: Depends on qualifications of selected candidate, minimum $11.65/hour .
HOURS: Schedule: Sat.-Sun 8:30-4:30 and all holidays
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position expected to work their assigned core coverage hours, and you will be expected to assist with coverage needs for any hours from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. week nights and 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 8:00 a.m. Monday. This will include all Holidays.
1. Activate two-way radio to maintain security measures.
2. Receive and direct incoming calls on company main telephone lines for all Regional offices and affiliates.
3. Document incoming calls on Log sheets from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. during the business week and 24 hours on the weekends.
4. Provide information to callers as needed.
5. Perform claims inquiry searches proficiently.
6. Transfer and or Call out First Reports of Accidents.
7. Redirect calls coming back to the switchboard from the Unity system.
8. Transfer calls into appropriate voice mail and Unity system.
9. Use the calendar system to check itineraries on the Outlook system.
10. Call out to Underwriting Supervisor on call for certificates of insurance, new drivers, and new equipment.
11. Defuse/Sooth agitated customers.
12. Record messages from callers on the Outlook system as needed.
13. Log location and phone number of pilot on PC, log sheet, and pilot form.
14. Contact Language Line for interpreter assistance calls.
15. Make announcements over public address system as requested.
16. Execute emergency procedures for MERT, Tornado, Fire, Warehouse, Elevator, and Regional Alarm activations.
17. Responsible to set up and confirm conference calls as requested.
18. Compile information of employees and enter/remove from Amcom/Profile screens using the Smart Center system.
19. Other clerical duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Vocational Training: High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years clerical/office experience, dealing with public, both in person and via telephone. Coursework and/or experience in office practices, and insurance background helpful.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of and the ability to use PC and Windows based software, and switchboard equipment.
2. Accurate keyboard skills (40 wpm.)
3. Excellent communication skills, pleasant telephone voice, and good public relation skills under stress
4. Ability to make decisions quickly and with confidence
5. Ability to pay close attention to detail Ability to be flexible, adaptable to organizational and technological change
6. Organized; ability to adapt quickly to changes in procedure and other situations that require immediate transition
7. Must be flexible and willing to work with other team members to insure continuous phone coverage
8. SPECIFIC PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to regularly sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to comprehend and use basic English language, both written or spoken, to communicate information and ideas; formulate and apply appropriate course of action for routine or familiar situations.
