Clear Channel Radio Minneapolis is currently accepting applications for our open position of Senior Staff Engineer for our seven stations in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Qualified candidates should have 5+ years experience as a Broadcast Engi neer. Experie nce with high power RF, general electronics, audio, and computer systems/networks is required. Ability to design, install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and/or repair electronic equipment, along with ability to test systems and/or operations in compliance with published standards and FCC requirements is also required. Organizational skill and the ability to handle a wide variety of personalities is imperative. Clean driving record required. Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
Responsibilities include: Maintaining legal transmitter and EAS operation, and required FCC documentation. Installation, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrading, and maintaining transmitter sites and related equipment including AM/FM/HD transmitters, hi gh level combiners, RF switches, STL equipment, RF/landline T1 systems, satellite uplink/downlink and remote control systems. Install, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and maintain air, production, news, and multi track recording studio facilities. Troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain various telecommunications systems and related equipment including T1, ISDN, and POTS circuits. Maintenance, installation and upgrades of 60+ workstation Prophet System s NexGen automation system. Maintenance of AC generators, UPS systems and associated equipment. Occasionall y contribute to IT department tasks including PC upgrades, installation, LAN/WAN confi guration.
