EVENTS FACILITIES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, $78,024-$111,533/ANNUALLY/DOQ. Under the general direction of the City Manager, performs administrative and supervisory duties in the administration, management, marketing, and promot-ing the use of the Tyson Events Center, Convention Center, IBP Ice Center, Orpheum and Tourism Bureau and ports Authority; does all industry standard related work for this position and level of responsibility as required. Develops and implements plans for all of the City’s Public Assembly Facilities and Tourism Bureau. Develops and oversees market-ing and sales operations; plans for, participates in the negotiation and monitors contracts relative to sports and enter-tainment tenants, marketing, rentals, bookings, concessions and maintenance; maintain a positive image, gain fiscal support and increase trade. Minimum of eight years of experience in the administration and management of public as-sembly facilities at the Executive Director/General Manager or Director level. Graduation from an accredited college with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree preferred in Business Administration; Sports, Entertainment and/or Public Assembly Facility Management or related field with emphasis in marketing, operations and public rela-tions, or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
