Morningside’s volleyball season ended with a 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 25-13 loss at city rival Briar Cliff on Wednesday.

The Mustangs bowed out with a record of 15-17 for the season.

Amanda Woodman led the Mustangs’ attack with 10 kills and a .381 hitting percentage. However, the Chargers held her to one kill over the last two sets after she tore them up for nine kills in the first two sets.

Gabi French was next with eight kills, followed by Kecia Verburg with six and Ashton Schweers with five.

Jessica Becker came up with a season’s high 14 digs to lead the Mustangs’ defensive court coverage. Katie Kuck also finished in double figures with 12.

Verburg and Morgan O’Malley each had two ace serves. O’Malley added a team-high 22 assists, followed by TyAnn Buddenhagen with 14.
