Curtis N. White was elected chair of the Morningside College Board of Directors during its annual meeting on Oct. 4. White, a 1976 Morningside graduate, is chief procurement officer and senior vice president for Mattel Inc. in El Segundo, Calif.

Sandra K. Bainbridge of Jefferson, S.D, was elected board secretary. She is a 1970 Morningside graduate.

Board members elected to new terms include Adam Baumgartner, a 1997 Morningside graduate and general manager and vice president of marketing for Wells in Le Mars, Iowa; Dr. Zeddie Bowen of Savannah, Ga., a consultant with the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges; Julie R. Eickhoff of McCook Lake, S.D., a 1989 Morningside graduate and a voice artist/freelance talent for Julie Eickhoff Audio Productions; Jack O’Brien of Sioux City, Morningside College student body president; Martha E. Wikert of Freemont, Neb., a 1962 Morningside graduate; and Ronald C. Yockey, a 1970 Morningside graduate and project engineer for Beef Products, Inc. in Dakota Dunes, S.D.

Members named to chair board committees include Dr. Esther M. Mackintosh, a 1969 Morningside graduate and president of the Federation of State Humanities Councils in Arlington, Va., Student Life and Learning Committee; Craig Struve, a 1970 Morningside graduate and agribusiness owner from Calumet, Iowa., Finance/Facilities and Investment Committee; Richard Waller, chairman and CEO of Security National Bank in Sioux City, External Relations Committee; and Dr. Thomas C. Narak, a 1970 Morningside graduate from West Des Moines, Iowa, Graduate Programs Committee.
