Morningside College recently announced three new faculty members in the arts and the humanities.

Jeremy Schnieder, assistant professor of writing and rhetoric at Morningside College, recently presented the paper “Running Over the Same Old Ground: Automated Essay Scoring” at the International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Morningside College’s 2014 Waitt Lecture will feature Paul Zak, a scientist, author and the country’s leading pioneer in the field of neuroeconomics. The lecture at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., is free and open to the public.
Jack A. Bobo, senior advisor for biotechnology with the U.S. Department of State, will present a lecture on global food security issues at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct.14, at Morningside College.
