Berst And Niles Set Records During 2005 Season

Kelly Berst and Brooke Niles were Morningside record setters during the 2005 women’s soccer season.


Morningside posted an 11-9 record and finished tied for third in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with an 8-3 league mark during the 2005 campaign.

Berst And Vandenbroucke Are Honorable Mention All-Americans

Maureen Vandenbroucke

Kelly Berst, a sophomore goal keeper from Lincoln, Neb., and Maureen Vandenbroucke, a sophomore defender from Gretna, Neb., were each named to the honorable mention list of the 2005 NAIA All-America Women’s Soccer Team.


They became only the second and third women’s soccer players in Morningside history to earn NAIA All-America recognition.

Niles Named NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete

Photo of Brooke NilesBrooke Niles has been named a 2005 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Soccer All-America Scholar-Athlete.


Niles, a junior forward from Sioux City, has a 3.88 cumulative grade point average with a major in biology.
