Cameron Oakley, a freshman from Sioux City, has been named to the 2010-11 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Golf Team as selected by the league’s head coaches.
Oakley led the Mustangs with a 91.9-stroke scoring average per 18 holes over the 2010 fall and 2011 spring seasons. She had a 92.4 average in the fall and a 91.3 average in the spring.
Oakley was the Mustangs’ top individual finisher at the four GPAC Qualifier tournaments with a 361 total to finish 11th in the individual standings.
In addition to Oakley, the Mustangs’ Kelsey Nelson was named to the All-GPAC honorable mention list.
Nelson, a freshman from Rockford, Ill., had a 92.2-stroke scoring average over the fall and spring seasons.
Morningside finished fifth in the team standings in the GPAC Qualifier tourneys with a combined total of 1463.

Morningside finished in a tie for fifth place in GPAC Women’s Golf Qualifier Tournament #4 on Saturday in Yankton, S.D.
The Mustangs finished with a team score of 393 to put them in a tie with Hastings College. Morningside was led by Cameron Oakley with a 93, while teammates Lindsay Determan and Kelsey Nelson were next 97s.
Morningside also finished fifth in the combined scoring for this year’s four GPAC Qualifiers with a score of 1,463.
Oakley was the Mustangs’ top finisher with a four-tourney total of 361 to put her in a tie for 11th place.
