Rager Is GPAC Golfer Of The Week

 

Mustangs Place Two On All-GPAC Team

Brad Huyck, a freshman from Valley, Neb., and Brandon Morehead, a freshman from Sioux City, were both named to the 2005-06 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Golf team.

Huyck and Morehead each earned their all-conference spots by placing among the top 10 individuals at the GPAC Conference Tournament held April 24 and 25. Morehead finished sixth in the individual standings with a 149 at the conference tourney, while Huyck was one stroke back in seventh place with a 150.

Huyck had an overall scoring average of 77.6 strokes per 18 holes this year with averages of 76.2 in the fall and 78.4 in the spring. He led the Mustangs in the fall with his 76.2-stroke scoring average.

Morehead had scoring averages of 77.0 in the fall and 79.8 in the spring for an overall average of 78.5

In addition to Huyck and Morehead, the Mustangs’ Justin Hamilton, a sophomore from Omaha, Neb., made the All-GPAC honorable mention list. Hamilton had the Mustangs’ best overall scoring average this year at 76.7. He averaged 76.6 in the fall and a team-best 76.8 in the spring.

Rager Is GPAC Golfer Of The Week

Photo of Chris RagerChris Rager, a freshman from South Sioux City, Neb., has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week.


Rager carded a 71 to win medalist honors at the 14-team Dordt College Invitational played Sept. 13 at Le Mars, Iowa. Rager’s medalist round led the Mustangs to a second place finish in the team standings.
