Three-year starter collected 90 solo tackles and 124 assists for 214 total tackles during his Morningside career. Career totals also include five interceptions, 3.5 quarterback sacks, four pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and 15.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage for losses of 56 yards. . .2003 Data- Named Mustangs' Most Valuable Player and a second-team All-GPAC selection. Finished season with 32 solo stops and 46 assists to rank third on the team with 78 total tackles. Statistics also included five tackles for losses of 22 yards, two quarterback sacks, two interceptions, two quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery for a 52-yard touchdown return in the Mustangs' 26-20 victory against Dana College on Sept. 20. . .2002 Data- Received NAIA honorable mention All-America honors and Mustangs' Most Valuable Player Award following season where he had 31 solos and 49 assists to rank third on team wiht 80 total tackles. Topped Mustangs with five quarterback hurries. Statistics also included 5.5 tackles for losses of 19 yards, two interceptions, 1.5 quarterback sacks, and one forced fumble. . .2000 Data- Started all 11 games as redshirt freshman. Mustangs' fifth leading tackler with 27 solos and 29 assists for 56 total tackles. Finished season with five tackles for losses of 15 yards, three pass breakups, and one interception. . .High School Data- 1999 graduate of Sioux City Heelan High School. One of Iowa's premier prep linebackers as a senior when he earned elite all-state honors from the Des Moines Register and first-team Class 4A all-state laurels from the Iowa Newspaper Association (INA). Topped Crusaders in tackles as a junior and senior and helped lead team to an 18-game winning streak in regular season play. Collected 121 tackles as a senior. Received first-team all-state honors as a linebacker from the Des Moines Register and second-team all-state honors from the INA as an offensive lineman following his junior campaign. Also an outstanding baseball player. Batted .470 as a senior and .426 as a junior to earn all-state honors both years.
