Missouri River Activities Conference (MRAC) rushing champion as senior when he ran for 1,195 yards en route to third-team Class 4A Iowa Newspaper Association all-state honors. Also earned first-team All-MRAC, Sioux City Journal All-Metro, first-team Sioux City Journal All-Northwest Iowa, and second-team Omaha World-Herald Class 4A/3A All-Western Iowa honors. Received first-team All-MRAC honors as junior when he rushed for 955 yards. Also received all-metro and second-team All-Northwest Iowa honors from the Sioux City Journal.
