Tim Orwig, author of “Morningside College: A Centennial History” will present a lecture at Morningside College at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, in the Yockey Family Community Room in the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave.
Orwig’s lecture, titled “Diversity in Morningside College’s Past,” covers diversity milestones in Morningside’s history, that he discovered through his research on the college’s centennial history.
Orwig, a 1980 graduate of Morningside College, has been a lecturer in history, art and architecture at Boston University, Simmons College, Brandeis University and the Rhode Island School of Design. Orwig received his Ph.D. from Boston University in 2010 and is author of two recent books, "Historic Photos of Boston" and "Remembering Boston." He worked at Morningside from 1986 to 1999 and served as director of the learning center, director of foundation relations and assistant dean of the college.
