Morningside College has reported the largest total enrollment in the school’s 117-year history with 2,047 full- and part-time students enrolled for the fall 2011 semester.
Morningside records indicate that the 2011 fall enrollment of 1,272 full-time students and 775 part-time students is the largest total enrollment ever reported at the college. Morningside enrolled a freshman class of 377 students for the fall 2011 semester.
According to Morningside College President John Reynders, this fall’s total enrollment surpasses the previous enrollment record of 2,036 full- and part-time students in the fall of 2009.
“Achieving this new enrollment milestone at Morningside comes on the heels of receiving nearly 2,900 freshman enrollment applications for the fall semester, the largest number of applications Morningside has ever received,” Reynders said.
Last year, Morningside reported a total enrollment of 1,991 full- and part-time students for the fall of 2010.
