Morningside College has announced its royalty for Homecoming 2009.
Candidates for queen are Megan Davidson of Dakota City, Neb.; Whitney Gries of Onawa, Iowa; Erin Keitges of Jackson, Neb.; Chelsea Swanson of Marne, Iowa; and Whitney Van Roekel of Estherville, Iowa.
Candidates for king are Josh Benson of Lawton, Iowa; Nick McGraw of Sioux City; Josh Miller of Sioux City; Travis Ward of Omaha, Neb.; and Alex Weborg of Pender, Neb.
Court attendants are juniors Laci Swanson of Marne, Iowa, and Cody Galvin of Early, Iowa; sophomores Bailey Bichel of Glenwood, Iowa, and Monte Larsen of Neola, Iowa; and freshmen Mary Froeschl of Falls City, Neb., and Ian Miner of Wakefield, Neb.
Faculty representatives are Susie Lubbers, director of the Morningside Center for Ethics and Leadership, and Dr. Bruce Forbes, professor of religious studies.
The coronation ceremony will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue.
