Seven Morningside College students participated in the college’s special interdenominational worship service, held on Sept. 7 on the college campus.
The students included: Rachel Bellairs, call to worship; Shay Cottingham, soloist; Sarah Haugen, Brandon Shostak, and David Waggoner, praise group; and Ashley Bress and Amy Rahfeldt, lectors.
The service “Let’s Get It Started” was designed to welcome new and returning students, faculty, and staff back to campus. During the service, Morningside took up a special collection and launched its Buckets for Relief campaign to assist with relief efforts for the victims of hurricane Katrina.
The event was organized by Kathy Olson, Morningside campus pastor and director of church relations, and was sponsored by Morningside’s Academic and Cultural Arts Series (ACAS).
