Morningside College will host Health Expo 2005 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the Randolph Room of the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Avenue.
The public is invited to the free event, which is sponsored by Morningside’s Academic and Cultural Arts Series (ACAS).
Health Expo 2005 is organized by Carol Garvey, director of student health at Morningside College.
The health fair will be an interactive wellness exhibit to increase awareness of alternative and mainstream health topics such as ergonomics, relationships, spiritual health, mental health, massage, smoking cessation, healthy eating, breast cancer awareness, sexually transmitted infection awareness, and alternative therapies such as Reiki and aromatherapy. Persons will have an opportunity to participate in sun damage screening, body fat testing, blood pressure screening, and grip strength testing.
The Siouxland Blood Bank will be in attendance to take blood donations.
