Morningside College Board of Directors elects new members

The Morningside College Board of Directors elected seven new members to its board at a meeting held earlier this summer.

The new members include:        

Sandra K. Bainbridge, Sioux City, serving on the Academic Affairs Committee		Skip Perley, president and chief executive officer (CEO), TEC-Corp./Thompson Electric Co., Sioux City, serving on the Finance and Investment Committee
Kevin Vaughan, president, FIMCO, Inc., Sioux City, serving on the Student Life Committee		Curtis N. White, senior vice president and chief procurement officer, Mattel Corporation, El Segundo, Calif., serving on the Institutional Advancement Committee
Ronald C. Yockey, vice president of operations, Beef Products Inc., Dakota Dunes, S.D., serving on the Finance and Investment Committee		Donald J. Zeleznak, principal, Grace Capital, Scottsdale, Ariz., serving on the Finance and Investment Committee
Angela Meyer, Morningside student body president, serving on the Student Life Committee.

Officers of the board include: chair, Michael E. Abbott, president and CEO, American Republic Insurance Company, Des Moines; vice chair, Richard A. Waller, president and CEO, Security National Bank, Sioux City; Russell G. Olson, president and CEO, Liberty Banshares, Inc., West Des Moines; and assistant secretary, Dr. Angela F. Banks, principal, Lincoln Elementary School, Sioux City.

Committee chairs include: Academic Affairs, Dr. Craig S. Wansink, chairman, department of religious studies, Virginia Wesleyan College, Norfolk; Finance and Investment, Garrett Smith, president, American Pop Corn Company, Sioux City; Institutional Advancement, James A. Walker, president and CEO, Heim & Walker, Minneapolis; and Student Life, Clifford E. Tufty, president, Motor Parts Central, Inc., Sioux City.
