A new exhibit featuring artwork by several Morningside College alumni is on display through Oct. 16 in Eppley Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Avenue. The free exhibit is open to the public.
Fourteen alumni will exhibit their work in photography, digital graphics, painting, drawing, print, and mixed media sculpture.
The exhibit includes posters designed for Gibson Guitar and Porsche automobiles by Randy Hughes, art director at Carmichael Lynch, an advertising agency in Minneapolis, Minn., and graphic design images created for AMC Theatres in Kansas City, Mo., by David Codding.
Also on display will be photographs featuring a variety of subject matter including self-portraits, cityscapes, and landscapes created by Jay Chesterman, Leah Godbersen, Melissa Hamersma, Robert Mason, Marsha Newman, and Katie O’Meara.
Other pieces in the exhibit include mixed media artwork by Ann McTaggart, Pauline Sensenig, Jermy Dumkrieger, Deb Gengler-Copple and Shannon Sargent, and prints and drawings by Tracy Chu.
Eppley Art Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The gallery will also be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2, during Morningside College’s homecoming festivities.
