“Ghosts,” a multimedia presentation by parapsychologist, writer, and ghost hunter Peter Jordan, will be presented on Monday, Oct. 30, at 8:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue, on the campus of Morningside College. The free event is sponsored by the Morningside Activities Council (MAC) and is open to the public.
The presentation will include photos, personal accounts, and stories from Jordan’s experiences in investigating tales of hauntings and ghost encounters over the past 30 years.
Since 1975, Jordan has conducted more than 100 investigations of haunted dwellings. He is widely recognized for his innovative approach in the scientific search for evidence of life after death. His forensic method of research combines psychological and medical profiles of witnesses with the use of “psychic detectives” and modern electronic technology. Jordan’s research findings have appeared in The New York Times and his work as a ghost hunter has been featured on national television on shows including CBS News, ABC’s “20/20” and “Unsolved Mysteries.”
Jordan was a former field investigator for the Psychical Research Foundation at Duke University and is currently research director of Vestigia, a New Jersey-based paranormal research organization. He holds a master’s degree in psychology from the New School for Social Research in New York City.
