Violinist Eunho Kim to present recital Oct. 27

Eunho Kim, adjunct instructor of music at Morningside College, will present a violin recital on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue. Michele Grossman will serve as accompanist. The recital is free and open to the public.


The program will include Mozart’s Sonata in B major, Solo Sonata No. 4 by EugeneYsaye, “Two Mazurkas” by Henryk Wieniawski, and Brahms' Sonata No. 2 in A major.


In addition to serving on the faculty at Morningside, Kim also serves as an instructor of violin for the Leo Kucinski Academy of Music (LKAM) and on the faculties of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. She is currently concertmaster of the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra and assistant concertmaster of the South Dakota Symphony in Sioux Falls.


Kim holds a bachelor of music degree in violin performance from the Seoul National University in South Korea and master’s degrees and a doctorate from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
