Randy Hughes of Carmichael Lynch Advertising in Minneapolis, Minn., will give a presentation about his career experiences in advertising on Friday, Oct. 21, at 11:45 a.m. in the UPS Auditorium of the Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Avenue.
The public is invited to the free event, which is sponsored by Morningside’s Academic and Cultural Arts Series (ACAS) and the Morningside Activities Council (MAC).
Hughes, a 1984 Morningside graduate, is in charge of one of Carmichael Lynch’s biggest accounts, Porsche North America, as its creative director and art director. He also does work on the firm’s accounts for Gibson Guitars and American Standard kitchen and bath products.
Hughes will show examples of his work in both print and television formats, share his experiences of what it is like to work in advertising, and discuss how to pursue a career in advertising.
Hughes has also worked for Bass Advertising Agency in Sioux City, J.R. Navarro Advertising in Los Angeles, and the Chuck Ruhr, Clarity Coverdale Fury, and Martin/Williams advertising firms in Minneapolis.
