Michele Grossman, adjunct instructor of music at Morningside College, will give a piano recital on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue. The public is invited to attend the free event.
Grossman’s program will include Bach’s Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue; Chopin’s Sonata in B minor, Op. 58; and Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No. 2 in D minor, Op. 14.
Grossman is the artistic consultant and teaches piano for the Leo Kucinski Academy of Music in Sioux City, and is an accompanist for the Omaha Symphonic Chorus. She and her brother, violinist Eric Grossman, have performed more than 100 concerts throughout the United States and Europe as The Grossman Duo.
Grossman holds a bachelor of music degree in piano performance from Indiana University in Bloomington and a master of music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in Ohio, where she accompanied students in the renowned Starling Preparatory String Project.
