Find out about other visit opportunities
The Admissions Department at Morningside College invites high school seniors and their families to attend one of several upcoming fall visit days. The visit days are scheduled for Fridays, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 11, and Nov. 18, and will run from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the option of attending a college class from 1:45 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.
After a brief welcome, students and their families will attend the session “The Morningside Fit,” which will briefly cover Morningside academics, athletics, and co-curricular activities and help students to discover whether the college is a good “fit” for them. Participants will then have the opportunity to meet with faculty, take a campus tour, and each lunch in the Olsen Student Center.
After lunch, students and their families will attend three additional sessions. The sessions include “Making a Private Education Affordable,” which will discuss financial aid; a panel discussion focusing on technology on campus; and another panel discussion highlighting what the Sioux City area has to offer in terms of internships, off-campus employment, recreation, and more.
Sue Pyburn, associate director of admissions, said prospective students may also register for individual afternoon appointments for special interest areas, including athletics, music, theatre, dance, and others.
Pre-registration is required. For more information or to pre-register, contact the Morningside admissions office at 1-800-831-0806, extension 5111, or register online.
