Morningside College Board of Directors elects new members and officers

The Morningside College Board of Directors elected six members to new terms during its annual meeting on Saturday, October 8.

Board members elected to new terms include Lucy Y. Buhler of Edmonds, Wash., a 1956 Morningside graduate; Irving F. Jensen Jr. of Sioux City; Khalid Ahmed Rasheed of Sioux City; Regina Roth, chief financial officer of Beef Products Incorporated, Dakota Dunes, S.D.; Norman W. Waitt Jr., chairman of WaittCorp Investments, LLC, Omaha, Neb., and a 1986 Morningside graduate; and Kyle Bubb of Sioux City, Morningside student body president.

Dr. Craig Wansink, chairman of the religious studies department and associate dean of Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Va., was re-elected chair of the board. Wansink is a 1984 Morningside graduate. Other board officers re-elected include Michael Bennett, president of Albaton Enterprises, LLC in Sioux City, vice chair; and Arlene Curry, a commercial real estate broker with NAI LeGrand & Company in Sioux City, board secretary.

Members named to chair board committees include Cynthia C. Moser, an attorney with the Heidman Law Firm, Sioux City, academic affairs committee; Thomas P. Grimsley, CFO of CW Suter, Sioux City, and a 1981 Morningside graduate, finance/investment committee; Ronald Yockey, project engineer at Beef Products Incorporated, Dakota Dunes, S.D., and a 1970 Morningside graduate, institutional advancement committee; and Richard Waller, chairman and chief executive officer of Security National Bank, Sioux City, student life committee.
