Josh Call, professor of English at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, and a 2001 Morningside College graduate, will present his research and writings on video games at Morningside College at noon Friday, Oct. 14, in the Hickman Dining Room in the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave.
Call’s presentation will focus on the need to look at video games as a form of human expression.
Call has a master’s degree in English and a Ph.D. in composition rhetoric from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He currently teaches courses in literacy, composition, rhetoric and general humanities. In addition to teaching, Call has written book reviews that have appeared in the Quarterly Review of Film and Video, and he co-edited the upcoming book “Dungeons, Dragons, and Digital Denizens: The Digital Role-Playing Game.”
