Ann Struthers, writer-in-residence at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a 1952 Morningside College graduate, will present a reading of her poems and a short story at Morningside College at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, in Room 101 of Charles City Hall, 3630 Peters Ave.
Struthers has earned a master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Iowa. She has had numerous poems and short stories published. Struthers was also the recipient of two Fulbright Fellowships, which allowed her to travel and teach in Syria and Sri Lanka.
Struthers is visiting Morningside College as part of the Sioux City Reading Series, which brings nationally published poets, novelists and short story writers to Sioux City.
