High school seniors will have an opportunity to learn more about college life and how to search for a college that is a good fit for them during a series of visit days scheduled at Morningside College on October 21 and November 4, 11 and 18.
The October 21 and November 4 visit days begin with 8:30 a.m. registration in the Olsen Student Center. Registration for the November 11 and 18 visit days begins at 10:30 a.m. in the student center. During the visit days, students and their parents will tour the Morningside campus, visit with faculty members, eat lunch in the college’s main dining hall, attend sessions on financial aid and conducting a college search and, if they want to, sit in on a college class.
Students who already have applied to Morningside and been admitted also can attend the Celebration of Excellence Scholarship Weekend that begins at 4 p.m. on November 18 after the senior visit day. After the scholarship weekend, students are awarded scholarships that include President's Scholarship Awards of up to $50,000 ($12,500 each year for four years), Dean's Scholarship Awards of up to $30,000 ($7,500 each year for four years), Talent Achievement Awards of up to $16,000 ($4,000 each year for four years), and Mustang Co-Curricular Awards of up to $12,000 ($3,000 each year for four years).
