Morningside College seniors Jessica Weborg of Elk Point, S.D., and Monte Larsen of Neola, Iowa, were crowned Morningside College’s 2011 homecoming queen and king during coronation ceremonies held Thursday, October 6, on campus.
Candidates for queen were Sydney Brisco of Scottsbluff, Neb.; Kelsey Kallhoff of Neligh, Neb.; Kelsey Kleinhesselink of Alton, Iowa; and Jackie Lincoln of Greeley, Iowa.
Candidates for king were Kyle Bubb of Sioux City; Mitchell Parkhill of Louisburg, Kan.; Colby Rohde of Wathena, Kan.; and Joel Van Wyk of Sioux City.
Court attendants were juniors Jacy Jahn of Denison, Iowa, and Joel Dorsett of Sioux City; sophomores Mariah Stauffer of Omaha, Neb., and Tyler Figge of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and freshmen Alexis Busch of Omaha, Neb., and Nathan Kerby of Bellevue, Neb.
Faculty representatives are Dr. Jessica de Vega, assistant professor of religious studies, and Dr. Bruce Forbes, professor of religious studies.
