Morningside College professors Patrick McKinlay and Heather L. Reid have authored chapters in “Political and Civic Leadership,” a reference handbook edited by Richard A. Couto and recently published by SAGE Publications.
McKinlay, professor and chair of the history and political science department, wrote a chapter titled “Citizenship.” Reid, professor and chair of philosophy, wrote chapters titled “Leadership as Virtue in Classical Philosophy” and “Leadership and Sport.”
“Political and Civic Leadership” is a two-volume set that provides undergraduate college students with information on topics related to politics and civics.
McKinlay, who has a master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., joined the Morningside faculty in 1994. Reid became a member of the Morningside faculty in 1996. She has a master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
