Students from high schools in Iowa and Nebraska will participate in the annual “Men and Women in Song” choral festival at Morningside College on Thursday, October 28.
The day-long festival begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Avenue, on the Morningside campus and culminates with a 6:30 p.m. concert in Eppley Auditorium. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature performances from the men’s and women’s festival choruses and a combined festival chorus.
Schools participating in the choral festival include Abraham Lincoln High School, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Bancroft-Rosalie High School, Bancroft, Neb.; East Sac County High School, Lake View, Iowa; Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn Community High School, Marcus, Iowa; Odebolt-Arthur-BCIG High School, Ida Grove, Iowa; Pender High School, Pender, Neb.; Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; West Monona High School, Onawa, Iowa; and Woodbury Central High School, Moville, Iowa.
Tim Watson, director of choral activities at Morningside College, and Jill Wilson, women’s choral director at Morningside, are coordinating the festival.
