An actor/comedian who has appeared on such television shows as “The Office,” “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “CSI: Miami” will be in Sioux City Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 25, to offer master classes at LAMB Theatre and to speak at a writing event at Morningside College.
Craig Anton started acting as a kid in Omaha, Neb. He traveled to New York in 1989 and hit the clubs and nearly every cable comedy show featuring stand-up. He subsequently moved to Los Angeles. He has appeared on more than a dozen television shows, and his extensive film work includes both comedies and dramas. Recently, he started the Comedy Academy and the Kids Academy in Los Angeles.
Acting classes will be offered at LAMB Theatre, 417 Market St., the evening of Oct. 23, the morning of Oct. 24 and the afternoon of Oct. 25. There will be separate sessions for the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Participants must register prior to the event and pay a tuition fee, which has been subsidized by Morningside College. Contact LAMB Theatre at 712-293-0930 for more information. Also while in Sioux City, Anton will speak at a brown-bag lunch event at Morningside College at noon Friday, Oct. 23, in the Yockey Family Community Room of the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave. He will be talking about writing in Hollywood. This event is free and open to the public.
